YES, WE DO IT ALL THE TIME. The 2019 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Limited comes standard with 13-inch shocks. Whether you are running 2019 Limited or another late model bike, Suspension Technologies has lowered hundreds of Limited models with 11” shocks. Going down 2 inches, the Black Hills Series Shocks provide plenty of travel to soak up the bumps, with outstanding performance. A two-inch drop is significant and provides more control when backing up the bike or standing it up. This is our lowest Harley shock option for Ultra Limited.
Check your lowered Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Limited – If the bike is sporting a big-circumference or longer exhaust, then check lean angle as well as curb height. On steep transitions or curbs, riders should be careful so they don’t scrape. For most riders, this is not an issue.
What is the Suspension Technologies Experience – Current late-model touring bikes featuring Harley shocks from the factory have a tendency to shudder or squirm in corners. Black Hills Series Shocks are tuned for the touring platform, riding style, and total weight. They remove the vague feel and replace it with stability and control.
The Way that Suspension Technologies Feel – Stock shocks on touring bikes from the factory often feel like riding in a 1950’s Cadillac, delivering a vague and loose feel. Our Harley shocks provide more of a European BMW-style feel. Riders feel the undulations on the tarmac but not the minor bumps.
The reason why riders and their passengers are so enthusiastic about the Black Hills Series Shocks is because of the technology inside. The Black Hills Series Shocks are true monotube design and are specifically engineered to provide better handling, control, and performance.
Consistently we hear enthusiasts say:
- My bike feels like a new bike – I should’ve done this years ago.
- I can go around corners faster with more control and confidence
- I can feel the road but the harshness has been removed
- I can’t believe how the touring bike goes into a corner and stays there.
